Scavenger Hunt at MS

Fifth Graders Explore the Middle School!

The 5th grade students journeyed to the middle school to take part in a Scavenger Hunt. Fifth graders were teamed with 7th graders for their search to locate different parts of the building.  Using some nifty clues prepared by Mrs. Sand Swerdloff, ES Assistant Principal, the mixed teams raced around in an attempt the solve all the puzzles.  Elementary and middle school teachers or administrators were at each station, offering help where needed and verifying the data.  The 5th graders soon discovered something different about the building--an upper level in the middle school.  At the end of the Scavenger Hunt, everyone was invited to a pizza lunch, where they shared their experiences with each other.  The smiley-faced 5th graders returned to Jericho more knowledgeable and comfortable knowing they could find their way around when they get to the middle school, and very much aware that they can always get help if they have a question.  Many thanks to Dr. Dolgin, Mrs Swerdloff, and the fifth grade faculty for their invaluable help in making the day a success!
